On June 7, 2026 (primary election day in Los Angeles) a witness at the Oakwood Recreation Center voting site in Venice observed what they describe as sustained voter harassment by a Traci Park campaign volunteer, with the apparent knowledge and encouragement of Park campaign staff stationed nearby. The witness has filed an ethics complaint. This is their account.
On election day June 7, 2026, from 430 – 7 pm, I witnessed Traci Park campaign volunteer Elvina Beck electioneering for Traci Park’s campaign within the 100 feet border from the Oakwood voting center in Venice, California. Elvina used her body and her Traci Park sign to literally block access to over twenty voters from the Oakwood voting center. She stood in front of over twenty voters, not letting them walk and delaying them from entering the voting center. She displayed Traci Park’s name, logo on her sign within 100 feet of the Oakwood voting center. She wore a Traci Park shirt with Traci’s logo.
Elvina Beck yelled at, harassed and forced these voters to listen to her loud rants about why they must vote for Traci Park. She could be heard from fifty feet from where she was yelling. She asked every voter who they were voting for. She forced voters to take Traci Park flyers to the voting center. I heard her tell over twenty voters to vote for Traci Park and against Faizah Malik. I heard her make up lies about Faizah Malik. She said voters who voted for Faizah Malik wanted drug addicts on Venice streets.
Elvina harassed voters with full support of Traci Park’s staff who were working at the Traci Park table across the street from the voting center. I witnessed Traci Park staff coaching Elvina Beck, telling her how to pressure, coerce voters and how to harass them. I witnessed Traci Park’s staff cheering Elvina to stop voters from voting. This harassment of voters was sanctioned by Traci Park’s campaign. For over two hours I witnessed Elvina Beck harassing and yelling at Faizah Malik supporters, trying to intimidate them, on behalf of Traci Park’s campaign.
Oakwood Voting center polling supervisor Ivan Spiegel received a complaint that Elvina Beck was harassing voters within the 100 feet border from the Oakwood voting center. I witnessed polling supervisor Ivan Spiegel meet with Elvina for thirty minutes. I heard him warn her several time to stop yelling at and harassing voters within the 100 feet border from the Oakwood voting center. Ivan Spiegel asked her to leave several times. She refused to leave and continued to stop voters from voting after he left and returned to the voting center. He was informed that an ethics complaint would be made against Elvina Beck and the Traci Park campaign.
Ivan Spiegel stated that Elvina Beck is a well known political activist. He stated that he had met her many times at the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council. He stated that she was previously the President of the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council, Her website is elvinabeck.com. I am filing a new ethics complaint against Elvina Beck and Traci Park’s campaign for electioneering.
